Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, who is better known as the famous musician Spyro, has said that the late experienced musician Sound Sultan fed him, dressed him, and took him in when he had nothing.
This was shared on Spyro's Instagram account on Friday. The artist, who had just bought a house for himself, told Sound Sultan that he was sorry he wasn't there to see his success and that he would always be grateful to him for helping him.
"I miss you, mentor," he said as he held up a picture of the artist who had died.Without you, I can't see how lucky I am.
"Today, I couldn't stop thinking about how you fed, dressed, and accepted me when no one else did.
"I remember a night when we were going to an event. As usual, I was dirty and out of style, but you went up to your room and brought your clothes down for me to wear while everyone else laughed at me.
"I wish you were here so you could see everything that's going on. I remember always telling you that I would make you happy, and it's sad that you're not here now.Thank you for everything you showed me and taught me. Rest in power, Sound Sultan, until we meet again."
In the United States, Sound Sultan died on July 11, 2021, after a long fight with cancer. He was 44 years old.
